Directory Services Using the Macintosh Eudora 6.x

To set-up and access UW Oshkosh's PH server select <b>Settings from the Special menu.

Select Hosts from the Category window

Enter ph.uwosh.edu in th Ph: field

Click OK

To set up LDAP

Select Settings from the Window menu

In the PH/LDAP Server window enter

ldap://ldap.uwosh.edu/ou=people,o=uwosh.edu,dc=uwosh,dc=edu

then press okTo search for a user(s)

Select Directory Services from the Window menu

In the "Query" field, you will usually have best results searching by entering First Name space Last Name. For example, if you are looking for James Olson, enter in the query field enter J Olson and click Lookup. You can try just last name if you are not sure of the first name or the spelling of it. If the results message is "Too many Matches", then you need to narrow your search, such as Ja Olson.

When you find a match and want to E-Mail that person, click the E-Mail address and select the To button.
