Faculty/Staff Web Account Using Fetch

First time users need to change their password before using Fetch for their web accounts.

Launch Fetch (If you can't find it on your Mac, you can try downloading from www.cnet.com or call 424-3020) Enter Host name. Enter Your Username and password Enter /information/www/home_pages In the Directory field Click OK

Left side is the Web server directory. Open the folder(s) to find the path the webmaster assigned to you. If this is the first time you are logging in, there will likely be only one file called home.html. This page is the one displayed by default, you should replace it with one of your own design.  Put File… Will open a window so you can find the file(s) on your Mac that you want to upload to your web directory

To save this Login procedure (hostname, username, and starting Directory): Select Customize, New Shortcut (Do this from the home_pages directory. )

 

The Fetch shortcut may not work properly with more directory folders than shown here. Have the shortcut stop with home_pages

 

The next time you launch Fetch you can now Select the shortcut you just created

File/Quit when done.
