Many staff and faculty members maintain shared folders with important class information. These shared folders have two primary functions: One is to get information, such as assignments, to the students, and the other is provide an area for students to hand-in work.

Your Novell account has access to these shared folders. They are located on the LAB1 file server.

The following instructions will take you through the process of accessing the shared folders from a Windows 95/98/NT/2K PC.

Step 1. Click on the "Start" button

Step 2. Click on the "Run..." button. The Run dialog box will open and prompt you for a command.

Step 3. Type "\\lab1\soft\shared" in the Open field and press enter. The shared window will open and display the available shared folders.
