Changing Your Novell Account Password
(from Windows 2000/XP)

It is up to you to remember your Novell account password, and you may change it at any time. The following instructions will take you through the process of changing your Novell account password from Windows 2000/XP.

Note: Academic Computing recommends that when selecting a password you do not use any word that can be found in the dictionary or familiar names and dates. The best type of password is a cryptic combination of letters, numbers, and/or symbols.

You must be logged into your own Novell account before you can change your Novell password.
To learn how to login to your Novell account see Logging into your Novell account from Windows 2000/XP.

Step 1. Press [CTRL]+[ALT]+[DEL]. This will bring up a Novell Client for Windows dialog box.

Step 2. Click on the "Change Password" button. The "Change Windows Password" dialog box will appear and prompt you for your new password information. Under resources, make sure UWO is highlighted.

Step 3. Type your old password in the "Old password:" field and press [Tab]. Type your new password in the "New password:" field and press [Tab]. Retype your new password in the "Confirm new password:" field and press [Enter].

Step 4. If password change is successful, a window will pop up with message "Passwords for the selected resources were successfully changed."

Congratulations! You have successfully changed your Novell account password.
