How to Log Into Your Novell Account Before you can login to your Novell account, you need to know your Username and password. Accounts created after Jan 4, 2004 Unless there's a duplicate, your username will be the first 5 letters of your last name, the first letter of your first name, and the last two digits of your Campus ID number. The initial password is set to the full 7-digit Campus ID number. To verify your username, search the On-line Directory. Accounts created before Jan 4, 2004 For all accounts created before January 4, 2004, student usernames are the first 5 letters of their last name + the first letter of their first name + the last 2 digits of their SSN. The initial password is the student's SSN without any dashes or spaces. For example, Jane J. Smith has a SSN of 123-45-6799, so her username is smithj99 and her initial password is 123456799.
