Help Desk Resolution Guide 

VMS Passwords

1. Eudora - no new mail coming

2. Change VMS passwords

3. Username or pass error

 

Eudora-Entering password but no new mail coming in and no error messages

Resolution: Open Task Window in bottom of window. It may say password has expired. Change password

How to Change VMS Password using Eudora

Resolution: Select Special/Change password. Enter Current Password (even if expired). Enter New Password and then Verify (enter New again)

Client can also change password at the change password link through Webmail.  https://secure.uwosh.edu/changepass.html

Knows Password but Eudora displays username or pass error

Resolution A: If there were failed attempts with password and/or failed attempts with changing password, their VAXA account may have an intrusion record. Either wait for 15-60 minutes or have a staff member delete the intrusion record

Resolution B: Check Username field. Retype email address
