Microsoft Windows 2000 Hardware Requirements

Requirements

A. Computer Name and Model

B. Processor speed - 400 MHz minimum

On most Computers you can find this as part of the Model number, usually located on right-side of desktop case or left-side of tower. For example:

DPEP P400, means this is a 400 Mhz processor

* Deskpro 2000, 4000, 6000 series will not meet these requirements.

C. Memory - 256 MB of RAM

Right-click on "My Computer" icon
Choose Properties
Select the General tab
RAM is listed towards the bottom of the window.

Windows XP Professional System Requirements

Here's What You Need to Use Windows XP Professional

PC with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233 MHz minimum required (single or dual processor system);* Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended

· 512 MB of system memory
· 20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space
· Support for DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory
· DVD-ROM drive
· Audio Output
· Internet access (fees may apply)

Home Premium / Business / Ultimate

· 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
· 1 GB of system memory
· 40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space
· Support for DirectX 9 graphics with:
- WDDM Driver
- 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum)
- Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware
- 32 bits per pixel
· DVD-ROM drive
· Audio Output
· Internet access (fees may apply)
