by Ken Penniston Three new Academic Computing student interns began work on Monday, October 30. The three new interns are Alston Reece, Jesse Schingen, and Erika Zibell. Alston Reece is an MIS and Economics major who has an Associate Degree as a Quality Improvement Process Specialist from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. Jesse Schingen is pursuing a Computer Science major and Business minor. Jesse has skills in several programming languages, PCs, Macs, and Linux Red Hat OS. Erika Zibell is pursuing an MIS major and Graphics Design minor. Erika has an Associates Degree in Computer Programming and Systems Analysis at Fox Valley Technical College and has experience as a Web Application Developer and LAN Applications Intern at Fort James Paper Company. These interns will experience a variety of work assignments while they are employed by Academic Computing. Microcomputer support, Local Area Network support, Help Desk support, and Linux and VMS support are areas where interns are assigned.
