Setting Up E-Mail Auto Reply (On Vacation)
by Jim Olson

If you will not be reading your E-Mail for an extended period of time, the VMS "Auto Reply" feature allows you to send an "On Vacation" or similar response to people who send you E-Mail.

Even though you may be using Eudora as your mail program, you will need to log into your mail server account (VaxA) to set this up.

All messages will be received and you can read them when you return, but each correspondent will know that you will not be reading any E-Mail for the time period specified in your Auto Reply message. Visit http://www.acs.uwosh.edu/vms/auto_reply.shtml for instructions. Call the Help Desk at 424-3020, or E-Mail, acshelp@uwosh.edu, if you have questions.
