Wireless
Information about wireless network access on campus - aka woosh.
Campus Wireless Plan
The UW Oshkosh campus is wireless capable. We are currently beginning Phase 3 of our wireless installation, which will provide full wireless access across campus.
In Phase 1 of the campus Wireless plan we provided building-wide wireless access in Polk Library and Reeve Union.
In Phase 2 of the campus Wireless plan we provided wireless hotspots in open areas of each academic building.
Progress on Phase 3 has been slowed by time and equipment losses following this spring's flooding on campus. Building-wide wireless access was completed in Halsey and Nursing/Education. Residence Halls and Clow were next on the list.

Please do NOT bring your own access point to campus. Connection of personal access points is not permitted according to the campus Acceptable Use of Computing Resources policy.
Wireless Login
To protect campus resources a secure login is required before you can use woosh. Just use the same username and password you use for accessing your campus email. If you have problems with the login or don't get a login prompt, please contact the Help Desk at 920-424-3020 or visit them at Dempsey 207 where they have an access point available for you to workout the problem.
