Novell Off Campus Access

How to access Novell NetWare from off campus

There are several options to connecting from off campus. All of these solutions assume you have internet access and are able to get on the web. Which solution will work best for you depends whether you are using a PC or a Mac, your needs, what internet browser and plugins you are working with, and your preference or comfort level with the solutions provided below.
PC Solutions
Netstorage

Use your Novell username and password when prompted

NetDrive --- Free utility that maps a drive to a file servers using Webdav

WinSCP --- Free FTP Utility to get to U: drive on file servers

Other FTP Utilities, filezilla 2.x has worked, filezilla 3.x has not, WSFTP no longer free the older free versions do not support ftps, secureftp works but not free.  

Macintosh Solutions

Fetch - This is a FTP Utility which costs around $25 it also has a 15 day trial.

Other FTP utilities CyberDuck works but continuously asks you to verify the SSL Cert.  Filezilla 3.x on the Macs has not worked.

FYI, WebDav which is Native to OS X and above but has not been tested in our environment with the exception of Netstorage which runs on WebDav.
